The Allen Philharmonic presents the 2009-2010 Season of concerts and events designed to provide a vibrant and varied cultural experience for our community. Great music has the power to move the listener. Artistic Director Richard Giangiulio, respected for his sheer musicality and expressive conducting, returns to the podium for his fourth year to lead our orchestra and chorus in a season of truly spectacular music from around the world. The Allen Symphony Chorus is a diverse group of singers from Allen and surrounding communities dedicated to the challenge of performing choral works by major composers that include Mozart’s Requiem and Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. Regular rehearsals are held from September through May on Monday evenings from 7-9pm. Friends of Note, the ambassadors of the Allen Philharmonic, is dedicated in its commitment to the cultural enrichment of our community through its support of our musical programs, outreach efforts, and social events. Our members have an affinity for the arts and symphonic and share the common goal of enhancing appreciation for both in our community. Meetings are held quarterly with annual dues of $25 per member. Concert tickets are reasonably priced and offer you the option to select the entire season or individual concerts.
