Call for Artists: 20 under 20

20 under 20” is a juried art exhibit showcasing 20 emerging artists from Collin County. We are seeking original artwork from artists that are under the age of 20 as of January 28, 2018.
The entry is free, and all types of media are welcome. Monetary awards for the top 3 finalists.

Application Deadline
The application deadline is Thursday, November 30, 2017, at midnight

Exhibit Dates
Opening Reception: Thursday, January 11, 2018. The monetary awards will be presented to the top 3 artists at the reception
Exhibit Dates: Friday, January 12, 2018 through Sunday, January 28, 2018

Prospectus

Application details
Artists may submit up to 3 works of art. The artwork must be appropriate for display in a family-friendly venue. The application must include one image per artwork; for sculpture and installations the artists may include one additional image. A jury will review all the entries, and select the artists and artwork for display. The judging will be completed anonymously. Accepted artists will be sent a Hold Harmless Agreement, which they must sign and return to Blue House Too prior to the delivery of the accepted artwork. Individual pieces may not be larger than 6 ft. x 6 ft. x 6 ft.

If you choose to apply via email the following required information must be sent to bluehousetoo@allenartsalliance.org.:
Personal information: Full name, home address, phone number, date of birth, school, brief artist statements.
Artwork information: Title, dimensions, and media of all the submitted artwork. Images in JPEG or PowerPoint form. PowerPoint filenames must include the artist’s name, and the titles for each piece of art must be included on the slides. JPEG file names must have artist name and title of artwork, i.e. VincentVanGogh_StarryNight.jpg

Delivery, and pick-up, of accepted artwork
Delivery time: Tuesday, January 09, 2018, between 3 pm and 7 pm. Pick-up time: Monday, January 29, 2018, between 3 pm and 7 pm.
Artwork must be hand delivered/picked up by artist or designee. The artwork must be ready for installation when delivered. Hanging artwork must be wired and ready for hanging. Artists whose work requires the use of electronic equipment must provide their own equipment. Oversize work, assemblages, and installations must be installed, taken down, and disassembled by the artist or his/her designee. Sculptors can use their own pedestals, or those provided by Blue House Too.

Marketing
Blue House Too and the Allen Arts Alliance reserves the right to use digital images of accepted and exhibited artwork for promotion and publicity.

Liability/Agreement
Blue House Too and the Allen Arts Alliance will do its utmost to protect the work in its possession, but the organization is not responsible for damage or loss.
Entering your work in this exhibition constitutes acceptance of all requirements above.
